Modern Frameworks Are 17.5% of the Detected Web. The Migration Has Barely Started.

The narrative says the web is going modern. The data says it hasn't happened yet. Across 10 million sites scanned by WebPulse, modern frameworks — Next.js, Nuxt, Astro, SvelteKit, Remix, Hugo, Eleventy — account for 17.5% of detections. Legacy frameworks hold 82.5%.

Where Modern Is Winning

The 17.5% average masks wide variation. In fintech, modern adoption reaches nearly 100% among detected sites. In government, it's below 5%. The migration isn't slow everywhere — it's fast in competitive industries and nearly absent in regulated ones.

The Opportunity

An 82.5% legacy base isn't a crisis — it's a market. Every percentage point of migration represents hundreds of thousands of sites. For agencies, consultancies, and platform providers, the addressable migration market at this scale is measured in billions.
