In every English-speaking and commerce-oriented market, Shopify outnumbers Drupal by 5x to 248x. This isn't a framework comparison — it's a category shift. Businesses stopped choosing between frameworks for ecommerce. They chose a platform and the framework became irrelevant.

Where Drupal Still Wins

Government (.gov 48%), education (.edu 34%), and aid-funded countries (Nepal 64%, Bangladesh 63%). Drupal dominates where institutional procurement makes the decision, not market demand. The framework didn't lose — it retreated to institutions where the platform model doesn't apply.
