Every other TLD carries legacy baggage — existing sites built years ago on whatever was available. The .ai TLD is different. These domains were registered intentionally by AI companies, most of them in the last 2-3 years. There's no legacy inertia. This is what builders choose when starting from scratch.

Why This Matters

When the companies building AI — the ones who understand machine consumption of the web better than anyone — choose their own infrastructure, they pick Next.js at 3x the rate of WordPress. They're not choosing frameworks for content management. They're choosing frameworks that produce clean, structured, machine-parseable output.

The .ai TLD is a controlled experiment: no legacy, no procurement defaults, no freelancer inertia. Pure choice. And the choice is overwhelmingly modern.
