OpenAI rolls out GPT-6, letting ChatGPT build interactive screens as it answers

OpenAI says ChatGPT can now reply with buttons, forms, charts and small tools made on the spot.

In brief
  • OpenAI is rolling out GPT-6 with Intelligent UI. Paid tiers get GPT-6 Sol, and Free and Go tiers get GPT-6 Luna.
  • The model picks each screen, so the interface becomes output that can vary. OpenAI gives no pricing or outside testing.

OpenAI said on Wednesday that it is rolling out GPT-6 in the Chat tab of ChatGPT. Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise users get it that day; Free and Go users follow on Thursday. Paid tiers run GPT-6 Sol, and Free and Go run GPT-6 Luna. The update adds Intelligent UI, so answers can include buttons, forms, charts and small tools, such as a calculator, built inside the chat.

OpenAI said the model builds each screen from premade parts. A compiler, a program that turns model output into a working screen, shows it while the answer is still being written. OpenAI says it rated these screens for clarity, usefulness and completeness, without giving scores. It also says the model's design judgment needs more work. Enterprise access depends on admin settings. OpenAI says GPT-6 Instant begins replying 44% sooner than GPT-5.6 Instant on web-search questions. It gives no pricing or outside testing.

When a model picks the screen, the interface becomes output that varies, shaped by OpenAI's parts and checks it has not shown. Buyers can ask what those parts cannot express, such as accessibility needs. Can one question give two users the same screen, and can it be replayed for audit? Are clicks and form entries logged, and where does typed data go? Which admin settings govern Enterprise use?
