The Record reported on 14 October that police in North Macedonia arrested the alleged administrator of OLVX this week. OLVX is an online market for cybercrime. The country's Interior Ministry worked with the FBI, and both said officers raided the man's home in Golema Rečica after charges were filed. The FBI said the market ran from 2023 to 2025. It alleges that more than 1,500 seller accounts sold personal data and login details. North Macedonian police said the suspect also ran ONEMILI, a Telegram group with tools for refund fraud and other scams. The ministry added that it found evidence he had obtained child sexual abuse material on Telegram.
The suspect has not been named. The sources do not say which charges were filed or in which country. They do not say whether OLVX is offline, or where the man will face trial. The Record noted that security firm ZeroFox wrote about the market in 2023. ZeroFox said it sold phishing kits, remote desktop access, credentials and stolen data. The Record also reported that OLVX had no escrow service. Users put money on the site and paid one another from that balance.
The FBI said the market put the accounts of thousands of Americans at risk. For teams that build, run or buy software, this shows what such markets sell: working logins and personal data, the raw material for account takeover.
