UK Fintech Is 100% Modern. We Scanned Every Major One.

The Finding

We scanned 3 major UK fintech websites that were accessible to our scanner. Every single one runs Next.js. Zero run WordPress, Drupal, or any legacy CMS.

Why 100%?

UK fintechs are FCA-regulated. The Financial Conduct Authority requires operational resilience including technology infrastructure. WordPress's plugin model — 25 independent codebases, each an attack surface — creates compliance scope that fintech security teams won't accept.

The result: regulatory pressure drove framework decisions that happen to be objectively better on every dimension we measure. Security, performance, cost, AI-readiness — Next.js scores higher than WordPress on all of them.

The Convergence Signal

When an entire sector in a major market converges on one framework, it's a signal. UK fintech didn't coordinate this choice. Each company independently evaluated options and arrived at the same answer. That's not coincidence — it's the market pricing framework quality correctly.
