.gg is officially Guernsey's country TLD, but it was adopted by the gaming and esports community ('GG' = 'good game'). The result: a TLD dominated by technically sophisticated communities who build interactive, real-time applications — not content sites. Nuxt.js (Vue ecosystem) leads because it powers real-time dashboards, leaderboards, and community platforms that gaming sites need.

Why This Matters

Every TLD tells a story about its community. .gg's 75% modern rate isn't a technology trend — it's a cultural signature. Gaming developers value performance, interactivity, and real-time updates. They wouldn't choose WordPress any more than they'd choose a 30fps monitor. The framework follows the use case, and the use case follows the community.
