Pwn2Own Ireland 2026 opens in Cork with more than 60 entries

The Zero Day Initiative published the attempt order for a contest where researchers try to hack phones, AI tools and printers.

In brief
  • ZDI said Pwn2Own Ireland 2026 has over 60 entries, including its most phone entries ever. Targets also include AI tools such as LiteLLM, Chroma and OpenAI Codex.
  • No results are out yet. ZDI said the schedule may change and it will update a live leaderboard.

The Zero Day Initiative (ZDI) said on 5 October that Pwn2Own Ireland 2026 has started in Cork. Pwn2Own is a contest where security researchers try to break into devices and software for cash prizes. ZDI said it has more than 60 entries, including more phone entries than ever before. A random draw earlier that day set the order of attempts. The top listed prize is $300,000 for a remote attack on the Google Pixel 10. Other targets include the Samsung Galaxy S26, Sonos Era 300, Philips Hue Bridge Pro, and printers from Brother, Lexmark and Canon. AI tools on the list include LiteLLM, Chroma, Dynamo, Oracle Autonomous AI Database and OpenAI Codex.

ZDI's post gives the order of attempts and the prize for each one. It does not give any results. ZDI said all times are in Irish Standard Time and may change as the contest goes on. The post does not say which attempts will work or what flaws researchers may find. ZDI said it will update a live leaderboard through the day and post results on its blog and social media.

The list puts AI software next to phones and printers as targets. Teams that run or buy products such as LiteLLM, Chroma or OpenAI Codex can watch the results for those names.
